Congresswoman Friedman, who serves on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, recently traded thousands of dollars worth of stock from labs which her committee oversees.

This isn't an isolated incident.

Last summer, as rumors about Paramount buying Warner Bros. circulated and its merger with Skydance completed, she sold tens of thousands worth of Paramount stock. She also holds hundreds of thousands of dollars of stock in other big companies her committee deals with, including Apple, Amgen, Pfizer, and P&G.

While Congresswoman Friedman has co-sponsored good bipartisan legislation that would ban congressional stock trading, it seems she's happy to do an about-face when she benefits personally.

CA-30 Democrats need to wake up.

Friedman is not our friend. She is an AIPAC, do-nothing Democrat embraced by self-proclaimed neoliberals whose priorities are warped by her portfolios.

I strongly encourage people get behind Democrats Joel Lava and Cameron Tennyson who are trying to primary her.

Local chapter of New Liberals (aka neOliberal), a national group dedicated to "free market pragmatism", endorsed Congresswoman Laura Friedman's reelection this week.

Their organization is run by PPI — a think tank funded by Amazon, Walmart, Exxon Mobil, Big Pharma, and Big Tobacco. The group "coincidentally" opposes taxing the rich, spending less on war, antitrust against tech companies, unions, Medicare For All, and is currently spending all their political capital shilling for Palantir's candidate for CA governor who can't poll above 5%.*

This endorsement —with her embrace by AIPAC and other Israel lobbies that not only support genocide in Gaza but also Azerbaijan's war crimes against Armenia — continues to make the truth obvious.

Laura Friedman is not the representation we deserve.

America is in crisis. Hollywood is in crisis. We need people who are willing to lead, not just talk at donor luncheons.

Two good candidates Joel Lava and Cameron Tennyson are trying to primary her. Give them your support.
