New player. Is making gold from professions viable as a F2P?
I have just started playing as F2P having played a lot of WoW and ESO and I’m having a blast. The pacing and immersion of the game is taking me back to when I first played WoW.
I have picked up forestry, prospecting and scholar on my hunter and I am enjoying gathering and refining and I like how it gives decent XP for processing materials.
Unless I am mistaken, it seems F2P players are unable to post auctions. I am not in a position to pay a sub or buy something for premium status at this point in time. Without auctions, is there any viable way to make money from my refined goods? My bank and inventory are starting to get full of materials and I believe my only way to offload is to vendor which seems like a waste. Should I pick up a crafting profession and funnel my mats into levelling that?
If anyone could give me any advice on how to maximise the profession systems as a F2P, it would be greatly appreciated as I really enjoy these systems in LOTRO. Thank you.
Edit: Thank you all for taking the time to reply. You’ve all been very helpful and welcoming. Even had someone DM offering to gift me a month of VIP. This community seems awesome 🙌
