Legit Q: What qualifies as "AI slop"
Legitimate question: what constitutes AI slop? When I see people ask for reviews of their products, "AI slop" seems to be the prevalent response. Does that mean all AI graphics are slop?
Here's my business situation. I have a very targeted niche. But, I am not a designer. So I use AI to help me conceptualize ideas and then generate graphics if the product needs it. I review and refine the graphics, edit some if it's an easy fix, etc. I always check hands and feet if they're in the image. Also, my target is men over 50. There are no mockups showing this audience, at least not enough in settings I want at a price I can afford. So, I also use AI to generate mockups to show the product in an age-appropriate and realistic setting. Is this "AI slop?"
The attached images are for stickers I created for a friend's trip to Japan. Each sticker is for an activity he wanted to do while there, so they're customized for him. Again, I'm not a designer, so I used AI to generate these. Each sticker took several iterations to refine what was generated. Is this AI slop? (These are not things I sell. They're just an example of how I use AI for graphics.)
Between every POD video saying you should make $10K/month without advertising and people constantly labeling things as "AI slop," I'm lost about how to run a legitimate online business using graphics without paying a designer with money I don't have.
