Has anyone figured out best WFH setup?

👋🏻 hi!

Has anyone figured out best work from home setup that puts least pressure on your cervix?

I’ve been using bed desk but sitting up straight most of the time. I was curious to know if there’s any better alternative?

Please share link to the desks / tools you’ve found useful that helped you retain your cervical length.

I have preventative cerclage placed at 13w but cervix measures 2.7cm at 16 weeks which I feel is still short-ish?

I’d like to do the best I can for my baby 💕

Appreciate your insights!

Rectal & vaginal pressure with cerclage - need advice

Hi, I’ve had preventative cerclage placed at 13w and I’m 16w today. Woke up with a lot of rectal and vaginal pressure. I occasionally feel like something is stuck in my vagina but it’s not a constant feeling. Also, sorry for TMI, feeling like I’m about to pass wind or need to pass bowel but never do.

I’ve already emptied my bowel early morning today and don’t feel constipated as such apart from feeling slight gassy.

Does anyone know what to think of this? Am I shortening?

I’ve had my cervix measured last week and it was 2.7cm and my midwife OB were happy with how stitch is holding up.

Hi, I’m in a higher-risk pregnancy this time, and it’s been quite anxiety-inducing.

I do have the option to work from home, but my job can still be quite demanding and stressful. I’m considering starting my maternity leave earlier than usual, possibly the full 11 weeks before my due date, and using some annual leave before that to extend the time off a bit more.

Part of me feels like this might be too early, and I feel a bit guilty even thinking about it, especially knowing it would mean returning to work sooner after the baby arrives. But right now, my priority is doing what feels right for me and the pregnancy in order to stay pregnant!

Has anyone here started their leave this early, or know someone who has? I’d really appreciate hearing others’ experiences I think I just need to know I’m not alone in considering this.

Hi all, I had heavy bleeding +large clots episode in current pregnancy at 9w, no reason was found (I suspect SCH that got cleared out but don’t have official confirmation). I was diagnosed with threatened miscarriage.

I have had previous loss at 23 weeks (suspected IC) so the doctor put me on cyclogest 400mg TWICE A DAY.

I also had cerclage placed at 13 weeks. I’m almost 15 weeks now and wondering if I still need such high dose of progesterone?

The reason being, I did go for a follow up after my 9w episode and a different consultant was shocked to see such high strength of cyclogest prescribed twice a day. Her exact words were “we don’t even prescribe such high strength of progesterone even for women who have had 3+ miscarriages”

This confused me a lot. What did everyone end up taking after cerclage that helped you make it full term?

Wondering if I should advocate for lower progesterone?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand how concerning this combination really is. I’m 32 yo.

At 13 weeks:

NT: 2.8 mm (upper-normal, but scan noted **suboptimal** **view** due to baby position and movements)

β-hCG: 1.43 MoM

PAPP-A: 0.70 MoM (could this cause IUGR?)

Combined screening risk: 1 in 152 (freaking out)

At 14w3d:

Femur length: 13 mm (<1st percentile 😭)

Head, abdomen, and overall growth normal

No structural abnormalities

Has anyone had a similar “borderline across multiple markers” situation? Did it resolve as normal on NIPT or the 20-week scan?

We’re going ahead with self funded NIPT through NHS(UK) since we don’t qualify for NHS funded NIPT. Their cutoff is 1:150. We’re not too far from it. Freaking out.

On side note is femur length reliable at 14weeks?

Does the baby catch up before 20 weeks scan?
