So I recently read a book (AGGGTM 3) in which the main character killed someone to "break the circle". Is it justifiable for someone to kill a murderer? More importantly, is it the best choice you have?

Imagine this: Someone takes your most valued person in your life. They kill them. Obviously, you are enraged. You want to kill them. If you know there isn't enough evidence to convict them, but you're sure it was them that did this, is your best choice to kill them?

Generally, in which cases is murder more ok?
