He did it to Ed Balls (and triggered an absolutely spectacular meltdown from him) but dropped the ball when Trevor Phillips (another washed up Labour right politician masquerading as an actual journalist) was openly antisemitic to him on Sky News.
He needs to keep the emphasis on how the people whose job is to "hold him to account" are partisan hacks who would never in a million years treat anybody right of Brown how they treated him. It is a virtue to refuse to be "held accountable" by institutions that are too compromised to have that right. They have no legitimate claim to be the ultimate arbiters of what is and isn't politically acceptable and they should start being treated accordingly.
