I got tired of buggy sidechain plugins, CPU-hogging sidechain plugins, so I coded my own from scratch in C++. It uses only 37MB of RAM and it's 100% Free & Open-Source.

Hey guys!
Like many of you, I use sidechaining on almost every track. But I realized that running 20 instances of modern volume shapers starts eating up gigabytes of RAM just to render their vector GUIs.
So, I spent the last few weeks building OpenKick utilizing the JUCE framework. It’s entirely native C++, meaning a single instance sits at an absurdly low 37MB footprint.
Features:
16 precision ducking shapes (including S-Curves & Sine pumps).
Decoupled Host-Sync (supports flawless triplets 1/4T, 1/2T).
External Audio Triggering with Ghost-Visualizer trackers.
Absolutely 0ms latency.
I've open-sourced the entire project under the MIT License for anyone who wants to learn DSP programming, but I also packaged ready-to-run VST3 files.

I’d absolutely love your feedback on the DSP or the interface! Let me know what you think.
