Something DS3 did better than the others. Difficulty.

I love DS1, DSR, and DS2 to death. Some of my favorite and best games ever made. But they're just so easy. Even on DS1's Impossible, DSR's hard, DS2's Zealot. They're all so easy. Just like RE4's Professional mode, I have more problems managing my inventory because it's constantly full, rather than struggling to make my resources count. Enemies are not much of a threat and resources are still very plentiful.

DS3's Impossible on the other hand really makes enemies quite tough and I definitely felt the strain on my resources in that game much so than other games.

Something that really makes DS3 a lot harder is that a lot of your guns (including the plasma cutter) do not stun enemies like they do in 1 and 2. They just keep walking right through your shots.
