4K REMUX Stuttering + White Flashing on M1 Mac Across VLC, IINA, and Vidhub.
Running into a weird issue with a specific 4K REMUX file on my MacBook Pro M1.
- MKV
- ~72GB
- HDR10 only (no DV profile)
The file has playback problems across multiple players:
- IINA → random white flashes/artifacts
- VLC Media Player → stuttering
- Vidhub → stuttering
What’s strange is:
- the issues happen at the exact same timestamps in every player
- after fully downloading the file locally, the problem still exists
- other 4K HDR REMUX files play perfectly fine on this machine
Even stranger: multiple releases/remuxes of this same film from different groups all have the same issue.
Anyone run into this before with Apple Silicon or certain REMUX titles?
