HDFC BizBlack for partnership firm tax payments via personal card?

I’m planning to get the HDFC BizBlack mainly for tax payments and reward points.

My case:

  • I’m a partner in a family partnership firm
  • Card will be issued in my personal name
  • I want to use it for firm payments like advance tax, TDS, and other statutory dues

My main question:

Can I use my personal BizBlack card to pay the firm’s taxes (firm PAN/TAN), and then have the firm settle the credit card bill through its current account?

From an accounting point of view, can this simply be recorded as:

“Paid by partner on behalf of the firm”

Or can that create audit / tax issues since the challan is in the firm’s name but payment is through a personal credit card?

Also:

  • Are full reward points / accelerated points still coming on advance tax and TDS payments?
  • Any reward caps, MCC exclusions, or hidden downsides I should know?

Would appreciate practical inputs from anyone already using BizBlack this way.

HDFC BizBlack for partner in family business — can I use it for firm’s advance tax / TDS if card is in my personal name?

I am planning to get the HDFC BizBlack credit card mainly for tax payments, TDS, and other business-related spends because of the reward points and accelerated earning potential.

My situation:

  • I am a partner in my family business (partnership firm)
  • The card will be issued to me as an individual, not in the firm’s name
  • I want to use it for firm’s payments such as:
    • Advance tax (income tax of the firm)
    • TDS payments
    • Other statutory/business payments

My main doubt is:

Can I legally / practically use my personal HDFC BizBlack card to make my firm’s tax payments?

If yes, then from an accounting and tax perspective, how is this usually handled?

For example, can the books show something like:

“Paid by partner on behalf of the firm”

and then the credit card bill be paid later through the firm’s current account?

Or would that create issues in audit / accounting / tax scrutiny because tax challans would show firm PAN but payment instrument is a personal credit card?

Also:

  • Has anyone here actually done this with HDFC BizBlack?
  • Does HDFC allow full reward points / accelerated points on advance tax and TDS payments consistently?
  • Any hidden downsides, limits, MCC exclusions, or reward caps I should know before applying?

Would really appreciate practical experiences, especially from business owners / CAs / people already using BizBlack for tax payments.
