HDFC BizBlack for partnership firm tax payments via personal card?
I’m planning to get the HDFC BizBlack mainly for tax payments and reward points.
My case:
- I’m a partner in a family partnership firm
- Card will be issued in my personal name
- I want to use it for firm payments like advance tax, TDS, and other statutory dues
My main question:
Can I use my personal BizBlack card to pay the firm’s taxes (firm PAN/TAN), and then have the firm settle the credit card bill through its current account?
From an accounting point of view, can this simply be recorded as:
“Paid by partner on behalf of the firm”
Or can that create audit / tax issues since the challan is in the firm’s name but payment is through a personal credit card?
Also:
- Are full reward points / accelerated points still coming on advance tax and TDS payments?
- Any reward caps, MCC exclusions, or hidden downsides I should know?
Would appreciate practical inputs from anyone already using BizBlack this way.
