Bird made a nest of my front door — advice please

Bird made a nest on the wreath on my front storm door — I’m looking for advice to keep bird parents and babies safe through springtime. Unfortunately this is the main door into and out of my house. I have not seen the bird so I’m not sure what kind of bird they are. There are no eggs yet, nest grows a little bit every day . What is my best course of action?

-gently move the whole wreath to a close but safer location (will mama bird be able to find the nest??)

-leave the wreath but prop the door open so it’s not opening and closing

-leave as is and open and close door as needed

A few questions …. Will people approaching the door (mailman, guests) threaten the bird and make her leave her babies / attack people ?

Will opening and closing the door harm the babies or the eggs ?

What other support can I give this little family ???

Any advice appreciated… thank you.
