Are retro console's worth it in the big 26' right now?

So I have been saving up for a long while to get a retro console, for my birthday! But I'm just not sure which one to get. I was thinking between an n64 or genesis but then thered the ps1, ps2, and even the gamecube. I just cannot decide! I already own a sega genesis mini. But I wanna play some other games then just the 42 on there. I only really care about the fun factor in a console and a big library. I do this care the type of game as long as it's fun. Im also a pretty big mario fan and an even bigger sonic fan! Thank you and have a good day.
