Isn't saturation current dependant on Number of photons striking the plate which is proportional to Intensity. If intensity is constant, does the frequency of photon alone bring any change in saturation current?

For method 2- I think since N2H4/EtOK - EtOK base might react with acid halide and disturb the fridel craft reaction in 2nd step.
Answer key shows that ketone is -M hence doesn't show fridel craft, but since it is intermolecular fridel craft, i don't think ketone makes a big difference. What do you think?
