Hi everyone,
I’m exploring a career path as a Cardiovascular Technologist in Canada and wanted to get some honest insight from people in the field.
Due to a physical limitation, I primarily rely on one working hand. I’m trying to understand whether this would realistically be a barrier in training or on the job, or if there are accommodations or adaptations that could make it feasible.
I’m especially interested in:
Day-to-day duties (how much fine motor / two-handed work is required)
Whether employers or training programs are open to accommodations
Any real-world experiences from technologists with similar challenges
I’m motivated and willing to adapt—I just want a realistic picture before committing to the program.
