Wondering what would happen in this scenario…

My boyfriend and I are really wanting to dine at space 220 restaurant on our upcoming Disney trip in May.

I got online 60 days before our Epcot day and was surprised to find there was no availability for a table for 2 at the restaurant or the lounge on our date. I booked a table for 3, and I’m curious what will happen if on the day of we show up and say our third party member wasn’t able to make it after all?

Has anyone tried this or are there any former Disney cast members who can weigh in on this?
