Do I need special shampoo to wash a hair system, or can I just use regular everyday hair shampoo?

I’ve worn hair systems for 5–6 years and know the difference between synthetic and human hair types very well. Just not sure about the shampoo part.

Is regular shampoo damaging for synthetic hair systems in the long run? And can human hair systems be washed with normal shampoo just like real hair?

Looking for experienced opinions, thanks!

I’ve been wearing a hair system for a while now and most of the routine stuff I kind of just figured out as I went. Nothing crazy, but a few small things did make day to day easier. I stopped overthinking washing it, honestly I just keep it simple now, air drying helps more than I expected, I thought it wouldn’t matter that much but it does, sleep is a big one too, friction at night can mess things up more than you think, and I try to fix small stuff early instead of letting it build up. It’s funny, once you stop trying to make everything perfect it actually becomes easier to manage. Anyone else noticed that or is it just me?
