Interested in applying for a role which is very close to home, I don't drive but would be a 10 minute walk to the office from my house. I am also a 5 min walk from train and bus stations. This role is hybrid and would be based mostly in the office, from reading the job description there would be travel to local events as part of the role (not every day but occasionally). I have all the skills and experience they are asking for but are my chances gone if I can't drive? It is down as an essential criteria on the form. I am aware you can only opt for public transport if you have a disability that prevents you from driving. Just wondering how strict they can be on this, or if its something they would look past if you had the relevant skills and experience.
