First test results for 3070 gaming xtrio, is a1 always the same on all gpu's?

Before i take it out of my pc and start opening up the gpu for repair i want to know if i should do additional testing and if the schematic from the post is correct for the gpu i have.

broken 3070 with artefacting i want to diagnose and repair

I have been a pc enthousiast since i was like 6 years old and have been building and fixing them ever since (31 years old currently) i am going to broaden my horizon by fixing gpu's and circuit boards as a hobby and maybe in the future expand it into a proper business on the side.

i have a few starter questions: i need a multimeter to diagnose issues but i am a little lost as to what specs i am looking for. what multimeter on a budget do i need to get started is recommended? would any multimeter suffice to get basic testing done?

for a better look, what zoom level am i looking for, would watchmakers glasses suffice? i have used my oppo find x9's camera to find issues on my motherboard. is there a rather cheap tool i can use to achieve the same level of zoom?

i have a scrap pc i am going to transform into a testing station for diagnostics with the nvidia tools.

Its fixed, Thanks everyone! Update on hitting my motherboard with screwdriver post.

Pc is up and running again, this part got soldered back. (Picture is made after soldering) My Oppo find x9 pro was able to zoom far enough to find the broken part with mega zoom. My friend put the part back with tweezers, after using super zoom again we checked if it was back in place, he soldered it and did a slight tweezer pull to check if it was properly soldered, reassembled the pc and it did boot again!

Update on hitting my motherboard with screwdriver post

The dot i initially saw was paint from the factory in my previous post, on the picture here you can see which part i thought was knocked off. But when looking at this area i found the actual culprit which is posted in the comments.

Thanks for all the advice and feedback.

I asked my friend and he will help me solder it tomorrow!

Screwdriver slipped, pc wont boot. Am i cooked?

Update, found the issue, a part broke off the motherboard elsewhere, See new post.

Was changing cpu cooler and my screwdriver slipped and most likely hit this part. Didnt think anything of it but now it wont boot, checked cables, reseated ram, removed video card and disconnected a bunch of stuff but no luck.

Usb devices do have power.
