i've heard that most people tend to have the opposite problem. but for me, i am always itching to write, and generally feel like i do so pretty well, but i am literally incapable of coming up with actual plot ideas, and i really struggle to get going with my writing if i don't have a direction to follow. it's really bumming me out because i know so many people would probably love my writing and i'd enjoy posting it, but i just can't write without ideas!! and those prompt generators don't really work for me because again, it's always super super vague and doesn't give me the direction i need. i almost always have the vague idea of what i want to write (hurt/comfort, a setting, etc) but no actual events, or story beats. any advice? :(
