How can I make it bushier?

It does get great light (it’s only been in this spot for two days, I have just moved house). But it always has had great light and watering every few days. I grew it from a small propagation

I just got this from a cafe but didn’t notice all of the damage without my glasses on! The brown part is mushy:,(

I just bought this, I didn’t have my glasses on and didn’t see this damage… is it saveaeble? I’m not sure how much light or water she was getting as I bought her from a cafe. Shall I change the soil?
