London never sleeps. London is home to one of the largest Vampire Clutches in the world. 25 years since the supernatural world stepped out of the proverbial closet. Vampires rule in Clutches, hold station, rank and celebrity. Meanwhile, werewolves and shifters lead scattered lives, trying to survive under the iron fist of the Disease Prevention Bill, all while anti-supernatural groups lurk in the margins, sowing discord and using hatred as an opportunity. The World

January 2000. Everything changed. The supernatural world came out of the proverbial closet. Mankind went from thinking it was the apex predator to finding out Vampires, lycanthropes, magic and monsters are real. That all changed on October 17th 2003. The European Vampire Council successfully petitioned and gained equal rights for Vampires in the UK. Vampires can now own property, vote, work, get married and have the same legal protections as everyone else.

The same luck did not befall the lycanthropes. The Disease Prevention Bill was passed in 2008. While lycanthropes have basic rights, they can still be shot and killed on sight if anyone feels they are a danger. If a lycanthrope is found to have infected another, it is a death sentence.
