Conspiracy board part 8, supplemental

Supplement to my Conspiracy Board, Part 8 (link in comments). Just after MAG50

Elias is the obvious pick for who killed Gertrude. Since I think he's to obviously a red herring, that means he's not actually a red herring, only meant to look like one (double-negative herring). Lacking motive for now.

Also, not considering anyone from outside the institute yet, as most of those (like the fire ritual thing in MAG37) would be magical deaths and not a gun.

Conspiracy Board returning! (Part 8)

Dear diary

It's been 3 months since my last post....

After finishing season 1 I hit a really busy period, but I'm picking up the series and conspiracy board again (it has been screaming at me every day i walk past it!)

First of all, I've redrawn the board again. It was getting cramped and some parts had begun to be obvious nonsense or irrelevant, so better to start anew. The first picture is the new board, focusing on what I've sort of landed on as the "Major Fears" entities, their connections to Jørgen Leitner's books and how they're connected to eachother through either people or places. This is just after MAG50.

The other pictures are from just before I erased the board, if nothing else than to simply have easier access to it rather than scrolling through my phone.

So, quick theory time:

In MAG50, George Gilbert Scott seems to have, intentionally or not, created what I've just nicknamed the "Endless Corridor" with his workhouse designs. This maze seems to be able to pop up anywhere, so long as its mysterious door can appear, including inside the archive itself. At first I thought this might mean it's directly a "Major Fear" itself, but if George Scott made it that doesn't make sense. And because I couldn't decide if it's directly connected to The Alone or some other entity, I'm leaning more towards it being used by the entities to trap people and lure them in.

I'm also wondering if Robert Smirk or one of his students is directly connected to the Leitner Library, but with so many years between them that doesn't make much sense.

Gerard Kay is definitely going to be a key figure going forward, with how many connections he has to various entities (including The Fire, which I haven't made a line to yet) and at least 3 Leitner books. I'm guessing he used to be associated with the Magnus Institute and/or The Eye (hence his zippo with an eye design), but was not content with simply observing and began fighting the cults/entities. The police who have been "sectioned", like Basira, are also opposing the cults, but obviously can't admit that for legal reasons.

Because of the zippo connected with Gerard, I'm also thinking John Sims is somehow connected to The Web (his zippo with a web design), but I'm not sure how yet. The guess is there's more to The Web than just spiders/arachnophobia and the possible fractal connection, but no idea what yet.

Also (shoutout to Tim), I think Basira might've fallen for John, but he is completely oblivious.

I'll try not to wait 3 months for the next update, especially as I understand I want to finish the series so I can begin the other related series as well
