What mutation does stage 2b (1 node positive) pancreatic cancer normally have? My dad’s molecular tumour testing results came back as KRAS g12d and deletion of FBXW7 (but recommended to retest this for accuracy due to low tumour cells). Slightly surprised as this FBXW7 seems to be rare.

Hi there, my dad is post whipple around 5 weeks and ready to start chemo. He is 75 years old, good health but some weight loss. His pathology was 1 node infected out of 8, 1.8 cm tumour, R0 resection with vascular invasion/nerves. The oncologists we’ve spoken to have all recommended mfolfirnox except for one who says is taking a more long term approach and recommends gemcitabine/nab. He wants to use mfolfirnox if there is a reoccurrence and believes that a chemo regime that is well tolerated is a better regime and one which can be completed. He also says that there is not much difference in terms of efficacy. Does anyone have any experience with this? We are now slightly confused.
