Not paid for tuition services provided in Dubai
My wife teaches students. She provided the tuitions for a few months and the parent used to delay the payments. Going into April, she owed for both Feb and March. She settled for Feb and has balance pending for March.
Usually the parent is not responsive and with the reminder she started requesting for a discount citing tough circumstances. My wife refused to discount and the parent took on an aggressive tone on WhatsApp voice messages saying my wife is not showing empathy and is not understanding.
The parent has acknowledged on WhatsApp the fees that are due. There is no legal contract between the parent and my wife - my wife is a freelance tutor.
My wife had the private tutor license from KHDA but it expired in Feb 2026.
What are my wife’s options to accelerate this payment from the parent?
