I just tried a short MSC cruise from the UK and it was great. Food great, entertainment amazing, ship was beautiful (but a bit crowded but this is to be expected from a mini cruise) and service was generally good.

I am also half Italian and love authentic Italian food (not the fake American version of Italian food) so not sure if that helped. I found the food to be really authentic Italian.
