What is Garth's motive? His position seems terrifying.

I can't stop thinking about what Mayday would have Daisy and Garth do. Daisy, being a woman is obviously in a worse situation, but I also feel bad for Garth who seems like he grew up in Gilead. For him, Mayday seems like his only option to be a half-decent person and possibly escape. Accept now he is getting saddled with a family. The whole concept seems terrifying to me.

He is obviously unbrainwashed and is trying to bring down the system, accept he doesn't know how long it will take. He is being paired with a child bride who, for all he knows is very brainwashed and will report him for any slip ups. It puts him in the position of having a child in the house he is endangering, while simultaneously worrying what said child will see/report. I doubt Garth would ever consumate the marriage with Becca, but if he was paired with a girl desperate to have kids he might be forced into it to avoid being reported. What if she gets pregnant? I doubt Garth wants to have a child with a child, and certainly not in Gilead. Is Mayday not worried this will create conflict of intrest? Even June turned people in to keep her daughter safe.

I really hope we get to learn more about Garth. He has absolutely everything going for him in Gilead, yet he is not brainwashed or a POS.

Possibly he's old enough to remember the before? Maybe his parents never really liked Gilead but adapted just to survive. Maybs he has/had a sister like Eden or Ester and know hates the system.

On Time if not early EVERY DAY, and the ONE time I am late...

I am just venting because this has me so pissed. I work as a small family-owned business and recently the manager just hired two childhood friends as servers. Even before they started working there, I also felt like I was expcted to the good old reliable one that picks up every extra shift, is always on time, never calls out, ect. The two new hires and previous coworkers would come in late ALL THE TIME. Last month, there was a day I was stressing out because I was the only one there doing prep work. I about walk out because it was TWO MINUTES before opening and not even the manager had shown up yet. No text, call, anything. My manager and co-worker roll up with Starbucks a minute before we opened. I then got chewed out for not finishing all the side work on time. This isn't the only instance of others being late, but it was definitely the worst.

Well, yesterday I came into the restaurant three minutes early for my shift and my hair-tie broke. I had to run to the drug store across the street to buy a new one and clocked in an entire five minutes late. Because of this, I was behind on the mountain of side work left over by the morning shift. My manager came in a few minutes later and started lecturing me on timeliness. She kept making passive aggressive remarks about it the entire night until I told her that she better start hiring because I was going to start applying either other jobs and/or student loans. She was super nice to me the rest of the night and says that she hopes I reconsider in the morning. Just submitted a Trader Joe's application. I'm OUT!

For those who don't know, Jodi hildebrandt is a therapist who is currently in prison for child abuse. She was arrested when one of her victims, who was staying at her house along with their birth giver who is also in prison, escaped and went to the neighbors house. The child was so brainwashed that he believed HE was the evil one and wanted the neighbor to call the cops on HIM.

I dount Paula was a good therapist. She was probably one of those religious ones that encouraged her adult clients to look to God and her children clients to obey their abusive parents.

Naming children after loved ones doesn't seem like a huge trend in Panem. Katniss may have stuck with the flowers and bread theme. Maybe they names them Rose and Whole Wheat.

But if they wanted to honnor their fallen comrades, who would they even choose? Prim, Rue, Wiress, Mags, Portia Burdock, Thresh, Finnick, Cinna , ect.

I think it's would be sweet if they named the girl Buttercup.

I know Hunchback of Nortre Dame has alot of controversy when it comes to the portryal of the Romani people, and there sexulaization of Esmerelda. However, I saw a post on Instagram complaining that the overall theme is "Sit back and let the hot guy get the girl." Is this a popular opinion?

I fear this completely misses the point. The overall theme of the show is accepting people the way they are not discriminating, but I think the lessons in the romantic sub plot are just as important.

Quasi and Frollo both want to be with Esmermerelda. Ahe clearly doesn't want to be with either of them. They're reactions to her rejection are important. Quasi stays her friend and helps her. Frollo goes crazy. Its a message about CONSENT. Just because a girl is hot, just because you like her, just because she is nice to you, doesn't entitle you towards anything.

What wouls the alternative message be? Only help girls if they are romantically involved with you (even if they helped you first). You deserve to be with the first women you fall in love with?

Do people actually think this about thr movie, or is it just incels online?

I really hope they keep the part where Aunt Lydia kills Commanded Judd

Please! I want Lydia to do this so bad. Ecspeailly because I realized that Aunt Lydia hasn't actually killed anyone yet. She orders killings, but she always forced the handmaids to do the actual murder. It seems very unfair that after forcing so many women to bloody their hands, she hasn't actually done it herself.

No blanks this time, Aunt Lydia.

In the new episode, we learn that Aunt Esteé is the OG pearl girl. There is a brief moment where she shares a meaningful look with Daisy. This could be simply because of their shared connection. Even if Daisy is fakeing it, it would be nice to now that Estee was going through the same thing she is.

However, is it possible that Esteé is Mayday, or working for the US government, or any other resistance? If she was the "orginal" pearl girl, it was probably before the missionaries. That would mean Aunt Esteé defected to Gilead all on her own. She could have either done this because of delliousion, or because Mayday wanted to see if they could get women in this way. Hell, all of the Pearl Girl program could have been a US-influenced sceme to get spies in and out of the country. Atleast ths US government would feel like ths US government again.

Or she is just a sick individual that saw the news about Gilead on TV and thought "Hmmm. Yes. My new home."
