Surprise Gold Rose

I posted the other day about getting my first ever blue rose. Color me surprised signing on just after posting to discover my first ever gold rose had spawned overnight too! I wasn’t even trying to grow one. Just a happy byproduct of trying to breed my blues! So, yay!

And my second blue came in the morning after. I’m so excited! 🥰🥹😁🥳

🌹 Happy Anniversary To Me 🍃

I don’t have anyone else to share this with but I’m really happy about it and want to share with others who get my excitement. I meant to post this the day of but life, etc, etc…

April 15, I updated the game and received Nintendo’s letter celebrating their 25th year anniversary the next day (How has it been 25 years already?) and the leaf.

I’ve been playing since I was a little girl on GameCube, so this was already oddly emotional for me, realizing that Animal Crossing has been a part of me for most of my life. It was one of the first games I ever played and is still a part of my daily life.

But that’s not the part I’m truly excited about.

Earlier in the day I celebrated an achievement that has been a primary goal in every AC game I’ve played but had yet to succeed in. The fact that I later found out it was the anniversary feels so unbelievably serendipitous and special.

After (apparently) 25 years of trying and failing, I have officially grown my first ever Blue Rose. They’re my favorite flower and, finally, I have one of my own. I seriously cried when I found it and now, every time I see it, it makes me smile. That most radiant blue that practically *shines* glowing in the distance. It will take time but, if I have my way, one day my island will be painted in that blue.

Happy anniversary (a little late), everyone. If you took the time to read my ramblings—thank you.
