Will 95% cotton 5% spandex fold over pants shrink in the hot water method?? I found the PERFECT pants but i need them shrunk down one or two sizes around the waist!

there’s these grey fold over tights from target that i want to dye black! the medium are a little big on me but the smalls are PERFECT. i’m scared the smalls will shrink but the mediums won’t shrink enough😬 i’ve never dyed anything so i figured id come to reddit…any input is more than helpful!!
