Living in Berlin vs Potsdam as a student?
Hi everyone : )
Just wanted to know if anyone has any opinions on living and studying in Potsdam vs Berlin? I am going to be studying my masters in ecology and evolution. I’m from New Zealand and am moving to learn German and try to connect with my German family and culture.
I’ve been to Berlin before and I have family there but I have never been to Potsdam. I really enjoy thrifting, getting in nature, swimming, going to bars & cafes and all the basic stuff everyone likes. While I am learning German atm it is not great, so I am a little worried about making friends, which makes me lean towards Berlin since there are so many young people and internationals. If anyone has lived in both places, especially as a student, I would really value your opinion! Thank you!
