I’m thinking about getting a millipede (Ophistreptus guineensis), but I don’t really like strong or weird odors. I’ve seen some videos saying they can smell pretty bad or chemical.

I don’t mind something mild (I actually like the smell of almonds), but I’d be bothered if it smells like poop or something really unpleasant.

Also, how often do they release their defensive liquid, and does that smell bad too?

I’d like to know before getting one so I don’t end up regretting it later.
