NieR Automata in Lego, ”Glory to Mankind”

This is Commander White from the game NieR Automata, recreated in Lego form. I set up my new E1 UV printer yesterday and she was among the first creations I made. I used standard blank Lego pieces of off PaB and the standard plastic settings. White CMYK. I know white wasn’t necessary but I figured, since I use white as shading in the decals I might as well leave it in. Luckily I got remarkably close to the light nougat skin color of the head piece in the cut outs that show some skin. The figure is printed Edge to Edge an all sides. So that the dress hem Detail goes around continuous. I placed the curved slope of the dress piece at roughly 60 degrees, no issues in the Print Detail due to the height differences. The torso is printed in the front and back as well as on the arm. On the hairpiece I used .3 mm raised texture to print some golden hair adornments onto the piece.

Overall I think it came out Perfect.

Glory to mankind.

It’s not a cosplay but, I think she has come together really nicely. I recently got a new printer that actually can print on Lego. So last week I was busy translating the concept art images in my NieR books into squarish shapes. Well here you see the result. She is basically printed on all sides, including arms, face and hair. I think the Elsa hair was quite a good fit and I added something alike to her hair adornment using the printer. Since I used very fine lines in the prints, I went with a more anime style face rather than the simplistic Lego features with thick lines.

So far one of my best ones yet. I think I’ll try the operators (6O and 21O) as one of the next projects.

Glory to Mankind!
