I’ve been wanting to talk about this for a while but have had a hard time finding the words.
to preface this I have been a Dijon fan for a few years since I discovered skin, a song that is one of my favorite songs of all time, but for some reason I never did a deeper dive into his discography. I knew his main hits and ofc his work on swag and now I am absolutely kicking myself for not diving in sooner...
I was at weekend 2 of Coachella and his set was one of the best sets I’ve ever seen in my life. I still don’t and probably will never have the full words to describe how truly incredible it was but I was looking around me thinking are we all aware of how monumental this is right now? The production, the weather, the timing, it was genuinely perfect.
Since then I’ve gone on an insane rabbit hole of his entire discography and it’s led me into mk.gee and I’m insanely jealous of all of you in this sub that have known of these absolutely gems and had them to yourselves for so long. Yall know serious serious ball and I need to know everything. I can’t remember the last time I felt this way about an artist like I need to know his entire story.
I haven’t found music that has made me feel this way in so so long and it feels GOOD. Incredibly aware that i am discovering an all time favorite artist in real time and im cherishing it all knowing im going to wish i could hear every song again for the first time. It’s beyond even appreciating just him. His talent genuinely is giving me a new appreciation for music as an art again that I’ve been missinggg
