Wife and I are keeping options open about moving from the GTA area up North. May have a solid job lined up in Blind River and looking to purchase a property in Elliot Lake.

I wanted to ask if they live in that area how they like it (as someone who grew up originally in the countryside and wants to start a family up North, how do you find things related to amenities? How is travel in and out of Elliot Lake during the winter months? Any safety concerns?

We are currently weighing options in Sudbury, Parry Sound area etc.
