Large Outdoor Attempt - Musa Nono
Hi everyone,
I’ve been growing this musa nono from a TC in my office for a while now in leca. It’s getting pretty large for my tiny home office and now that warm spring weather is here decided to try to repot and see how it does on my screened in porch.
The looks way larger in person, and used an entire 1.76 cu ft bag of leca to fill it. So far so good. Plant has a little pollen on it now but seems to be managing the repot pretty well!
I added a pic of the roots from the old pot. I was able to get all the roots out undamaged by carefully cutting the bottom out of the old plastic planter bottom out
The pot has a drainage hole on the bottom with a rubber plug that should allow me to drain and flush periodically.
It needed about 7-8 gallons of water + nutrients to fill it up. We’ll see how it goes! 🙏
