Good start to the week. My kid caught a stomach bug so I stayed home to watch him. While he was resting this morning I was playing the charts. Opening felt a little weird fighting between the two channels. I felt like a big move was coming and I did not want to be on the wrong side of that. So, the short profits taken were a result from my fear that price could go against me at any point.

Trade 1: 721C -13%

Drew the channel on the 5 minute and my first trade was from this drawn channel break. Looked at the one minute and the channel was slightly off. So, my original entry wasn't actually valid. Price closed below my stop and I exited this trade. I figured price would eventually break, but at this point it did not. So I got out and waited for my next opportunity.

Trade 2: 721C +26%

This was the setup I intended to play on trade 1. Price gave a clean reaction and followed through well. Stayed patient, followed my rules, and took profit with my fear of price working against me in mind.

Trade 3: 721C +51%

My bread and butter setup. Could have made a sooooolid profit, but I closed after price hit the bottom channel with my fear in mind. There was more available after my exit, but the market was having wide swings and I wanted to focus my attention to my boys. I was happy taking the clean profit and moving on instead of sitting in a choppy move.

Overall, good day of execution. Not every move needs to be squeezed for the max. Main win today was taking clean setups, not forcing trades, and being able to make good money with an hour and a half of trading. Cant wait to do this full time!

Hope everyone had a solid day in the market to start the week!

A lot of clean setups today! Took 2 trades on my main account and 1 on a small account I started with $150 two days ago.

Trade 1: 724C -32%

Had an alert set for the morning channel break at 9:30 but missed the initial move while I was yapping with coworkers. Tried to force a structure afterward and took a trade without a clear plan. No defined stop area and no real confirmation. Cut it quickly and moved on. Good reminder that forcing trades is where mistakes start. "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail"

Trade 2: 722P +73%

Caught this one with strong timing and clean execution. Took profits early to focus on my lunch date with the wifey. Looking back, theta would have likely kept returns similar if I followed my SMA exit. So, no sweat.

Trade 3: 722C +8%

Taken on my small account to track progress from a $150 start. Two days in and I'm up 32%. Quick, controlled trades to continue building consistency.

Strong day overall with multiple clean setups available. Good awareness and solid risk management after the early loss. Main focus remains - execution and patience. Letting setups come and avoiding forced trades. Finished the week on a positive note and continuing to build consistency.

Hope everyone had a solid week in the market!

Visited a project this morning and missed the early morning put. Solid move to the downside. As I waited for the next setup I saw price was hovering the 20 SMA on the 1H chart. Price broke the down channel and the trade was entered around 9:40! While the trade was developing I had a grand opening for a project which made me have to rely on my notifications. Not ideal but when I felt my phone buzz I was pleasantly surprised to see my 715C up with a +120% move! Closed my trade and called it a day.

Planned to trade cautiously today with FOMC meeting this afternoon. Told myself no new trades after lunch with how crazy the charts were going to get. Definitely tempted to take the afternoon Powell roulette, but I was a responsible adult today.

Trade 1: 713C +19%
This is the model. Clean setup, clean execution, and full adherence to my system. Price continued higher after my exit, but I followed my rules and secured a strong start to the day. No issue with that.

Trade 2: 713P +66%
Reduced size due to price being extended and near the 20 SMA on the 15-minute. With a solid P/L locked in, I didn't want to overheat. The trade worked, but I should have closed when price crossed the short-term SMA at 10:45. Positive outcome, but not a rules-based exit.

Trade 3: 711C +22%
Such a good setup I had to take it.... I knew I had to take profits asap if I didn't want to ride the Powell volatility wave. Exit at the top of the channel secured the final win of the session.

Finished green but definitely not my cleanest session.

Figured we’d see some chop between 713 and 714.

Trade 1: 712P with a quick PT of previous low. Rebounded off the 1H 20SMA. Pulled the plug and immediately went into the trade in the opposite direction. Loss of 4.6%

Trade 2: 714C with the quick PT of previous high. Hoping this trade breaks out, but pulling profit at previous high of day. Plan was to reassess if price did break. Figured there’d be some type of consolidation before price picked a direction. Quick 21% on this trade.

Trade 3: 714C. Sloppy. Very very sloppy. Just with theta I missed an additional 30% just by rushing into this trade. If only I would have waited for the channel break. LIKE MY RULE TELLS ME TO. Further more, I was forced to pull this trade early because of an unexpected work event. Bagged 7% on this trade and could have captured an additional 84% if I had the ability to let my trade mature and close at the cross of the 5min 9SMA.

Frustrated on my timing but glad I ended the day green. Continuing to work on letting my trades mature and cash in on profits! At this point my daily P/L I’m tracking could have been 5 times higher than they are right now if I allow my trades to follow my exit plan. C’est la vie

Overall, proud of my risk management and staying positive, still a win overall. Some days the P/L matters less than seeing exactly where you can tighten up.
