Do you let the brand know when you’ve received the package?

Do I let brands know once I’ve received their products in the mail and give them a heads up that I’ll get started soon? Or do they know when you’ve received it and it’s just an unnecessary email for them?

I’m a newer ugc creator and have been trying to accept a few gifted collabs to get experience and leverage that with brands. I just got an offer for a review, 3 photos, and a video. For the product (worth maybe $165) however after reading the contract I see some red flags. I’m wondering what’s really unacceptable even if you’re new for a gifted collab. Here they are:

Perpetual usage rights (no expiration)

Brand owns all content you create

No additional payment for usage or ads

Sublicensing allowed

Likeness can be used indefinitely

Cannot post without brand approval

Limited to 2 revision rounds under brand control

Must reimburse product if deliverables aren’t met

Brand keeps rights even if contract ends

I carry legal liability (indemnification)

Must use arbitration in Florida, not court

Obviously some of these things are a bit much and I could ask for revisions. But ultimately is this worth it? I don’t know if at the start should accepting gifted collabs generally be maybe one video for the product and it be run organically? Like I said I’m new and unsure.
