📣 Upcoming Changes to the Sub - Please Read and Share Your Feedback

We are planning two major changes in the Wattpad India sub and we would love your thoughts before we finalize them.
First, we are introducing a biweekly thread for writers*.This space is meant for writers to talk about the issues they are facing, share achievements, discuss their growth, and talk about any criticism they have received or are dealing with. Anyone can comment, but the focus of this thread is to help writers connect with each other and build a community. The exact dates and timing are still under discussion.
In this writers thread, we are also considering allowing people from other writing platforms to participate and interact. This will be limited only to the thread. Reviews, promotions, or book suggestions from other platforms will not be allowed in the main sub.
Second, we are planning a dedicated thread to discuss problematic tropes, AI content, and what is happening on Wattpad. AI content is increasing rapidly, and while there may not always be a point in repeating the same discussions, we understand that many of you still want a space for it. Instead of multiple posts, this will be moved to a single thread, most likely monthly, but the frequency is still under discussion.
We are also making some moderation changes. The ban on SK Wookie and discussions around her works is being removed.The restriction on using usernames is also being removed. However, moderation will be strict in the beginning. Any personal attacks or dragging of authors will result in a 7 day ban. Even if something happened outside this sub, we expect everyone to maintain basic decency and maturity here.
With usernames being allowed, please understand the responsibility that comes with it. Do not use this to send hate or harass others. If you choose to mention usernames, you are also responsible for any consequences that may come from it. We have already said this many times and we expect members to take it seriously.
Another important note: We are not responsible for anything that happens outside this subreddit. But if anything from outside comes into the sub and causes problems, we will take strict action here.
If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to share them here or reach out through Modmail. We want your input before we finalize these changes. Once everything is implemented, it will be mostly automoderated and we will not be addressing complaints unless they are sent through Modmail.
