My new snack obsession.

Absolutely divine.

I have to hold myself back from going through the whole pack.

Do these ever go on sale?! 😭

Appreciation post for all the teens here from a Mom.

Dear mods, I hope you will approve this post and make a one time exception as this is a very uplifting group here.

I wish platforms like this were available during my time. I was born in the 90s and didn’t see a computer until I was at-least 10, I was also not aware of things like emails, I’m from a Pashtun family and even tough my family was very open minded I was not allowed my first email until I was 16 and my first phone until I was 18.

I was allowed access to websites so I would have had access to reddit.

This platform would have acted as a form of therapy for me as I went through a horrible time in my school growing up. I was in a private school and tried hard to make friends but I was bullied incessantly for my interests. I was very much into anime, books, sketches, video games and not a single girl I could find to make friends with (no this is not a pick-me post, it was the reality of that time, I’m the biggest support of women that is out there). Most of the time it was just silly, cliche self made groups, gossips etc, incredibly toxic stuff. You would think these things wouldn’t happen in a private school.

Anyways, I have seen some really uplifting supporting comments here and also some absolutely hilarious ones. They make my day when I read them. I don’t reply to them with my own jokes as I feel ancient and people assume I must also be a teenager 😆

I also know social media has its ups and down even platforms like reddit has those moments but there are a lot of uplifting people here to counter that.

I’m a Mom now and although my kids are in elementary school I love when they find my humour funny or some jokes they learn in school I can relate to it. I’m also trying to be a better mother. I’ve been through the typical desi family and in law phase and I promised myself it doesn’t matter how hard it gets, I will not take it out on my kids. I see some posts of kids talking about their parents taking their frustration out on them and it breaks my heart because I was that kid once and I know, once that distance grows in your heart, even if you become close in the end, it’s really hard to repair and takes a lot of time. I never want my kids to feel this way about me. I didn’t have friends growing up so I want my kids as my friends and the only thing I’m strict in is they stay on the path of Islam, do not forsake their religion, salah and how they treat others.

Sorry it got long. Bless you all ❤️

Looking for some ideas on how to eat artichokes.

I’ve never had artichokes before (cultural differences). I really want to try this and I’m looking for some ideas on how to eat these whether that’s in a pasta, on crackers or any other way.

Is this a good brand of artichokes or is there another brand that is better to try. I’d greatly appreciate all your input :)
