My son is 7 nearly 8 and fairly tall for his age. He is desperate to start skating. I know the cheap toy boards are supposedly dreadful and will make everything more difficult. I dont really want to spend a fortune on his first deck until I know he wants to stick it out and can take advantage of a quality board.

Spotted the above on offer and wondered if anyone had opinions or could share better alternatives. Looking to spend no more than £50 which I know doesn't buy alot.

Bonus points: in terms of graphics anything black/Skulls/flames/death/goth etc would be a huge bonus for him haha

My 7 year old is fully obsessed with AFI more than any other band. He wants to be just like Davey when he grows up haha.

Recently went to our first festival and he wanted a battle jacket. This was the back patch he chose as a starting point.

At school as a reward they can earn the right to pick the music in the classroom. He's started a little gang of kids who listen to AFI now. The teachers even had to learn when to stop "I hope you suffer" (his favourite song) to avoid the F bomb.
