Had a unpleasant second interview

I am begining to feel that SME has no interest hiring Singaporeans.

I managed to get a second interview at an SME and spent 1.5hrs travelling to their office. Days before the interview I asked for the JD again, was told that that is not important, they will see what roles fit me. During the interview it was mainly the interviewer testing me with case studies and her talking about their company's problem. She told me there is no right or wrong answers to the case studies. When I was asked the expected salary, although I had written negotiable, I told her $4K. I had a degree, two other certs and many years of working experiences. Infact I am a bit over qualified for the role that they advertised, but during the first interview I was assured that doesn't matter. During the second interview, I repeatly told her I could do more for their company. I also brought my hard copy certificates and the recent project work to show her, but got no chance because when she knows my expected salary, she closed the interview, stating they had publicly stated their range of salary for this role.

I feel that they had no intention of hiring me at all. Just wanted to go through the process then employ foreigners.
