Would a cat get depressed spending all of its life indoors?
I don’t have a cat yet , but I’m looking to adopt one in the future. I know cats don’t traditionally go on “walks” outside and I’m seeing online sources say it’s a little unnecessary to do so.
Maybe I’m projecting my own human-ness onto a cat, but I feel like I’m going crazy when I spend too long in my little apartment. I need to be outside, reconnect with nature, explore and see the fullness of the what the world can offer.
Do cats feel this way too? Would they ever get bored sitting inside all day, thinking “damn, I’m stuck inside these four apartment walls. I wish I could go outside and explore the world.” I know this is a totally silly question but I’m really trying to put myself into the shoes of a cat right now.
