Keep Straining Calf Muscle (Peroneal)

I keep straining the outside muscles of my calves (the peroneal muscles I think).

I thought perhaps my knees were bowing at deadlifts and squats so I dropped weight. No change. I stopped both exercises. No change.

The only leg exercise I’m doing now is cycling and my last ride was ten days ago.

My outer calf is still throbbing. My lifts right now are: bench press, pull ups, curls, tricep extension, shoulder press.

Any advice on what I might be doing wrong? How am I straining this?

Not asking medical advice. My leg is fine, just sore. I just can’t figure out how I’m straining it.
