G.Loomis NRX+ LP // Hardy Bouglé Mk VII
Another breathtakingly beautiful rod/reel combination. Decided specifically to go with the MkVII as the bright finish and cream colored handle compliments the bright metal of the reel seat just so sublimely.

I would like to get started with fly tying and was wondering what a sensible list of, say, 5 flies (dry, wet, nymph) might comprise that doesn't require me to acquire an entire room full of materials. :D
The focus for me would actually be more on _learning how to tie_ and less on necessarily _using my own flies afterwards_ although that for sure would be a welcome perk!
For what it's worth, I am fly fishing mostly in trout carrying rivers.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a) fairly simple(to tie) patterns that b/ ideally share some material?
Or am I going about this all wrong and you would suggest a different approach?
Thanks for any suggestions at all!
