It has begun!

Removed all of the plastics from my CLX Sport. Now the arduous task of sanding and filling begins… I honestly could’ve lived with the side badges, but the X on the front fender absolutely had to go…

Welp… I did it. Less than $5k out the door brand new. That’s two brand new bikes within 3 weeks… 🤦‍♂️😳

CL-X 700 sport custom paint

So, decision made. Tomorrow I will be picking up a new 2024 CL-X 700 Sport. Right away, I want to custom paint the plastics on it. I am considering painting it the way I did my old CBR 250R (pictured) or possibly doing a faux patina, “rat rod” paint. The other option I’m tossing around is a flat primer gray with a satin clear… any opinions?

New to the club…

I purchased a 2025 Eliminator ABS. First brand new vehicle I’ve ever owned. She had a whole 1 mile on the odometer when I drove off the lot. Sitting at just over 225 now. I’ve already done the fender delete from NRC. I added a front cowl and lower cowl and a couple side covers and got rid of the horrible stock mirrors. Oh, and some aux lighting for night rides. I’ll probably swap the stock exhaust after a few 1000 miles for something that sounds a little beefier…

2024 CL-X700 sport brand new

So, I am able to grab a brand new (1 mile) CL-X 700 Sport for $4249. Planning on buying cash and knowing the possible list of problems/fixes.
I see almost a 50/50 love/hate issue with this bike. I love the look and almost of the “professional” reviews seem to think that it’s a great value for what you get.
I just want to hear from some owners so I can gauge if, what I consider to be ridiculously cheap, is worth it for a future “project bike”. After break-in and first service I plan on heavily modding and making it something unique…
