Inspired by life, and video games
hi. idk where to really share music of this style. I'm an "over the hill" dude who gets inspiration from life events, or video games that I'm playing....and, I just start creating. sometimes its good. sometimes it isn't...but...the experience of creating...always enjoyable...always therapeutic.
I had a dry spell of music. I couldn't create anything really that felt it had substance or a lot of feelings in it. I started playing this game (the one in the picture called hellpoint) and although the music doesn't necessarily reflect anything about the game in particular...I played this game with my younger brother...and...this game honestly feels like an old game thats been remastered, and I'm all for it. I love it, even when it has insane bugs of me teleporting to the invisible dimension before dying haha.
this game brought back feelings of the old days...my brother is in his 30s...I just turned 41...and man...do I miss the old days of just being right there on the couch playing games with someone without a worry in the world.
I don't make music for money. I just really believe that so much emotion can be conveyed within a few minutes of music where you feel like you're traveling through time...hearing different inspirations of different times. my brother said one part of the song reminded him of 2007 or 2008 music lol
so I thought I'd share here. I understand that senseless posts where all you see is a thumbnail, no context and a "please listen " gets typically ignored. i think most music is created from a deep place, and tells a story or has a story to how it came to be. even if its just a simple melody.
feel free to share your stuff in a reply, but give it an origin story. how you felt when you made it. when you listen to it. etc.
I listen to what I make on repeat. even if it sucks...but...maybe I'm just weird but...man I get these weird feelings of happiness and sadness all at once...because It makes me think about life...the good times...the good old days...and..although there still are good new days...man I miss the good old days more and more the older I get.
to all you old timers here that feel the same way. you aren't alone. when I'm asked what I want for my birthday or Christmas...I got no answer...because all I want is to travel back and relive a few days again cause I miss them so damn much.
