I made it
Hey guys. I am in for my first day. So far so good other than the fact that I did have to get a room change. I’m in my 20s and they paired me up with a minor & from the jump, I knew it wasn’t going to work out. They’re not a warm and welcoming individual. Very territorial and has a weird door open habit I couldn’t cope with. I don’t mind compromising but some people just aren’t capable or mature enough. She’s young and I don’t know her background so I’ll give her grace. Job corps ILA staff accommodated me very quickly so shoutout to that woman—you rock! Much better roommate.
But aside from that, it’s okay. I know my experience won’t be linear but I will make the most out of it and stay focused. First day is a little awkward since I didn’t know anyone, and I am still adjusting—getting used to the routines and such. Today’s lunch wasn’t too bad and I’m glad it wasn’t because it just made for a better first day. I hear it’s a hit or miss though. Doordash will get me through lol 🙏
