There has been a lot of mixed reception on this movie lately. Was it perfect? No. The pacing was all over the place. Was it the worst movie ever created? Not in the slightest. It’s a massive overstatement if you ask me. As a movie on its own, it’s just a 5–6/10.

I’ve also seen some people compare this movie to Sonic The Hedgehog (2006), which is another huge overstatement. One 5-6/10 film doesn’t dent an entire franchise‘s legacy. That’s like comparing a paper-cut to stepping on a landmine. Plus, if the Mario franchise survived the 1993 movie, it can survive this one.
