Got some new wheels for summer! Definitely wanted something multi-piece and custom. I was inspired by Shelby Series One wheels, specifically the charcoal painted ones on forum user "locobob"'s ZR1.
SSR Professor SPX wheels
Gunmetallic gloss disk, clear anodized rim, classic (black chrome) bolts
Correct 5x120.65 PCD and 73/70.3 hub-centric rings
The Advan AD09 semi-slicks run true to size width-wise and the added road feel completely transforms the car. The steering went from a numb grand tourer to a go-kart while still being comfortable. I highly recommend them if you don't mind kicking up rocks and lower lifespan.
Fitment Info:
Front:
18x9.5+55 SL disk
255/40R18
-1.2° camber
All rubber removed from stock FE1 spring.
If on stock B6 shocks you will need aftermarket shocks like Z51 B8 Bilsteins preferably with trimmed bump stops, otherwise you'll be hopping down the road.
It's best to stay conservative with offset and tire size when this low because even the stock Z51 car with it's 275's rubbed on the arches on full load. With this setup it doesn't rub, only once on a massive bump while turning it barely skimmed the liners, which is where you want it to maximise travel.
Rear:
18x10+49 SL disk
275/40R18
-0.7° camber
Lowering bolts installed
Perfectly flush with fender and tire tucks nicely at full squat
18x10.5+55 with 295 or 305 would work great too but those tires are like 2x more where I live.
