Stray cat scratched my face trying- PLS HELP
Stray cat scratched my face 2 nights ago.
This cat, I’ve been feeding him for a little less than a month now and he’s been the sweetest cat like he will rub on you and loves pets. I feed him when he comes to my door.
Anyway, I took this cat in for about 6-7 days to de flea him, took him over to my bfs brothers house to give to him as a pet.
My bfs brother was watching his dads dog and the dog was jumping on me to see the cat (could not get the dog to stop jumping) and when I tried giving the cat over to his brother, he scratched my face trying to get away.
I’ve been to urgent care and the er and they both told me I should be good but something’s telling me I should get the PEP shot.
What do you guys think? Please help, I’m prob going to the hospital again tonight to get PEP. I cannot stop thinking about this bc readies is fatal.
Ik ik you can’t get rabies from scratches but sometimes you can depending on if the cat licked its paw.
Please help
