I have truly been under a rock and watching comfort movies. 80s, 90s. Casting a wide net here:

The last movies I watched ‘on time’ were Midsommar and Hereditary.

The last thing on my “to watch” list is The Menu.

Saw Oppenheimer and Barbie in theaters.

What am I missing out on? What’s the canon, what’s the lore? I never know any movies when friends and strangers ask. I can’t tell them I was only watching Gattaca again.

I don’t mean to say that these are like the *only* movies I’ve seen, just giving examples of how behind I am. Imagine I was an avid moviegoer that fell slowly into a coma around 2020.
